Nuttn' but copying over/under same same as dredges. Make your own as ez to do with expanded metal or punchplate, used'm for at least 35 years since I introduced o/u to dredges. You can go full coverage-but then you miss all nuggets bigger than your holes, half work pretty good or just over the first 2 sets a riffles to protect them fines …
I have a simple fluid bed sluice plan but some information is missing. The design has 3 pipes across the fluid bed. Each pipe has two rows of holes. The outside diameter of the tubues is 3/4" The hidraulic riffles need 5 GPM of water and 3-6 psi. The sluice will run about 2 cu/yds/hr of gravel mixed with 100 GPM of water over the fluid bed.
The use of the under-gate sill affects the flow behavior below and downstream of the gate. Sills may improve or disimprove the discharge characteristics below the gate. The objective of the present study is to analyze the experimental data collected on the effect of constructing sill with known shape under sluice gate on submerged flow below it.
Sluice gates are commonly used in canals for control and measurement of the flow. The discharge under sluice gates can be determined through the energy-momentum method (EM), the orifice flow rate equations and the application of the Π-theorem of the dimensional analysis. The different discharge methods available, for free …
Try searching for their posts or PM them. C-17A (not on this forum, but has videos) has built an over-under sluice for his Keene light-weight 4" dredge to catch the fine gold of the Arkansas River. He extended the sluice by about 4 feet and caught about 22 grams of gold in about 14 hours of nozzle time.
On the Lindens 8" I built a over/under for the last 30"s and it also increased the take a flour gold X 10 fold. I personally much prefer the jet flared as then recovery starts much sooner in the recovery box as then the over/under takes over for …

Skew sluice gates fall between these two types, with a tilted or skewed gate leaf plan. Labyrinth or zigzag sluice gates have an irregular leaf path plan along the channel width [1]. Ongoing research and advancements are improving sluice gate design, enhancing water infrastructure, and sustainable resource management.
Function of under sluices. When a dam or barrage is in operation, the water level behind the structure can rise due to heavy rainfall or snowmelt. If the water level becomes too high, it can put the dam or …
Design Consideration of Under-Sluices. The silt of the under-sluice pocket is kept at or slightly above the deepest river bed and about 0.9 to 1.8 m below silt of the canal head regulator. Read Also: Functions Of Diversion Headwork

Keene got away from the side sluice design because the whole assembly has to be on top of their floats. More lift, less power. The undercurrent design let the whole thing sit in between the floats at water level, giving more suction for less power. The 6.5hp P180 will power a 5" subsurface dredge but is to weak for an above water sluice. It ...
When gates are used, it is important for hydraulic engineers to be able to make critical calculations of the flow behavior [7,8]. Flow under gates has been studied for decades [6, [9][10][11][12 ...
Sluice gates are common hydraulic structures for controlling and regulating flow in open channels. This study investigates five models' performance in distinguishing conditions of flow regimes, estimating the …

Under-sluices: The under sluices are the openings provided at the base of the or barrage. These openings are provided with adjustable gates. Normally, the gates are kept closed. The crest of the under-under sluice portion of the is kept at a lower level (1 1.5 m) than the crest of the normal portion of the . The
10 Easy Steps on How to Build a Sluice Box Step 1: Create a Design. The first step in building your sluice box is to create a design that suits your needs and preferences. Start by sketching out a blueprint of your sluice box, paying close attention to the dimensions and placement of each component.
Investigation of the effect of the sluice gate location on a broad-crested sill and sill height on flow characteristics • The distance L/2 (L is the sill length) from the upstream end of the sill is the optimal location for installing a gate.. The height of 1.25H d (H d is the water depth as referenced from the sill elevation) is the optimal height for …
HFL condition: Gates are fully open, and under sluice flow prevails, with free or submerged flow conditions. Total capacity of each bay is determined by multiplying the discharge through one bay by the number of bays provided. The variables for the sluice bay section design are defined as shown in below table.
